Other Handbell Techniques
Not only do we ring the bells in hand, we also use numerous other ringing techniques to produce different sounds and effects.
Our arrangements include the use of:
Martellato, Pluck, Ring Touch, Tower Swing, Let Vibrate, Echo, Thumb Damp, Shake, and many others.
We also have a set of Schulmerich Handbell Mallets, which are used in some of our arrangements. They give a very distinctive and pleasing percussion sound when used.
We affectionately know them as our "Dongers"
...just so that you will know what we mean when we shout :
"Right everyone... get your dongers out!"
